Innovation initiative unlocks Singapore as key market for global startups

Plexal, the innovation company, has joined forces with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and the National University of Singapore (NUS) to launch CyberBoost, a program aimed at fostering cybersecurity innovation. The initiative comprises two streams: CyberBoost: Build, which supports the development of first MVPs, and CyberBoost: Catalyse, designed to help startups scale using Singapore as a springboard.

The hybrid Catalyse program, now open for applications, combines virtual and in-person sessions in Singapore to provide startups from Singapore, the UK, and Europe with growth strategies, international connections, and access to investment opportunities.

CyberBoost is part of the CyberSG Talent, Innovation and Growth (TIG) Collaboration Centre, a new hub in Singapore that unites cyber professionals, industry, academia, and government to promote collaboration and innovation.

As the top smart city in Asia and a global tech leader, Singapore offers a strategic advantage for UK and European startups aiming to expand in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Plexal's CCO, Saj Huq, highlights the importance of international cooperation in addressing global cybersecurity challenges and accelerating technological adoption.
