Origin Capital believes in transformational impact through its investment activities and consciously incorporates ESG and sustainability factors in our investment framework. We also participate in Speaking Engagements championing sustainability.

Actions speak louder than words; and we are proud to have made direct contributions in the following areas we are passionate about:

Conservation and the environment

Since its incorporation, Origin Capital has contributed to local climate initiatives spearheaded by the Garden City Fund. The Garden City Fund is a registered charity established by the National Parks Board (NParks) which launches projects that complement other efforts towards fulfilling its City in Nature.

The two climate projects that Origin Capital has contributed to are as below.

  • Under the Plant-A-Tree Programme, the tree planted will contribute to the OneMillionTrees movement. One million trees will be planted across Singapore by 2030 as part of efforts to restore nature. to plant one million trees across Singapore by 2030 to restore nature back in Singapore and redouble efforts to green local urban infrastructure on an unprecedented scale.

  • Under the Plant-A-Coral, Seed-A-Reef Programme, a sponsored coral will support the habitat enhancement efforts at the Sisters’ Islands Marine Park. Reef enhancement efforts involve transplanting coral nubbins from a coral nursery to Reef Enhancement Units (REUs) which are then placed on suitable reef zones. The REUs enhance marine biodiversity by providing areas for marine organisms to grow and reef fish to seek refuge.
